Humble Gun Pie

I attended church on Christmas day in a small town in Texas. The elderly priest there was a man of few words with a thick Polish accent, but his brief sermon brilliantly captured the true spirit of Christ and his birth by focusing on one simple thought, humbleness. Jesus entered this world in a rustic stable and never forgot his humble beginnings as he shepherded his lambs without avarice or force, wisely knowing that personal decisions and choices are the building blocks that build character and lead to a meaningful, fulfilling life, and healthy soul.

Humbleness is a trait that must be strived for and can only emanate from a contrite heart, a heart that is willing to acknowledge its natural pride and make no excuses or shift blame to others, a heart that understands evil, fears God and his wrath, and is able to discern right from wrong.

Government leaders have never been known to be humble, exemplary guardians who with compassion, nourish their flocks. As patriot Benjamin Franklin once said, “Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.”

For the past seven years, Obama’s lamb citizenry has been forced to graze on a detrimental diet devised by his pack of wolves intent on devouring the United States of America. One bite at a time, America’s future is being chewed up by leaders who are preying and feasting on their public. A steady diet of Abortion Appetizers, Military Mush, Homosexual Hash, Racist Reuben’s, Nuclear noodles, Communist Coffee, Foggy Bottom Fruitcakes, and Gun Grabber Greens is enough to ruin anyones health and future.

In Obama’s weekly address released New Year’s Day, he said his 2016 resolution was to move forward on “unfinished business” and specifically the U.S.’s “epidemic of gun violence.

Let’s just chew on that Marxist morsel for a minute….and then spit it out.

According to TruthStreamMedia.com, there have been more mass murders and mass shootings under Obama’s watch than the previous four president’s combined, and five out of the 12 deadliest mass shootings in American history occurred during Obama’s first term in office, almost half!

▪ Ronald Reagan (1981-1989) – saw 11 mass shootings with 101 fatalities
▪ George H. W. Bush (1989-1993) – saw 12 mass shootings with 94 fatalities
▪ Bill Clinton (1993-2001) – saw 23 mass shootings with 141 fatalities
▪ George W. Bush (2001-2009) – saw 20 mass shootings with 158 fatalities
▪ Barack H. Obama (2009-2015 – 7th Year) – saw 162 mass shootings with 864 fatalities

Did guns create this violence? No! The violence stems from an administration intent on drugging our children, breaking up the traditional family unit, providing poor education, ignoring poverty, pardoning and harboring criminals, instigating race wars, and flooding the country with anti-American illegals.

As America peers into it’s crystal ball for 2016, there are a few historical facts that should be ruminated while chewing on our gun grabber greens.

German firearm laws played a major role in the eradication of German Jewry in the Holocaust. The post-World War I chaos led to the enactment in 1928 of Germany’s first comprehensive gun control law, a law that required a license to manufacture, assemble or repair firearms and ammunition, or even to reload cartridges. Trade in firearms was prohibited at annual fairs, shooting competitions and other events.

Acquisition of a firearm or ammunition required a license from the police and applied to both commercial sales and private transfers. Exempt were the authorities and various government entities, and the licensing authority had complete discretion as to who were “reliable” enough to own a gun. Any persons not entitled to possess firearms were ordered to surrender them immediately. Furthermore, a license was required to possess a firearms or ammunition “arsenal,” which was defined as more than five firearms of the same type or more than 100 cartridges. (These quantities would have been very low for collectors or target competitors.)

While much of Hitler’s early gun prohibition was created with “supposedly good intent,” author Stephen Halbrook, explains in “Gun Control in the Third Reich,” that Hitler’s ability to disarm targeted groups, particularly the Jews, eliminated the ability of many groups in society to defend themselves. Hitler’s “well-meaning clauses” in the gun laws were later used to provide the government with complete control by creating registries of gun and ammunition ownership which ultimately fell into the hands of the Nazis. These lists were then methodically used to disarm citizens.

On February 27th, 1933, the German parliament (Reichstag) building was burned down due to arson, a fire believed to have been set by the Nazi’s themselves in order to justify the repressive measures which followed, including a decree authorizing the government to suspend the constitutional guarantees of personal liberty, freedom of expression, freedom of the press, and the right to assemble and form associations. Secrecy of postal and telephonic communication was suspended and the government was authorized to conduct search and seizure operations of homes.

By the end of March 1933, Hitler had succeeded in passing the “Enabling Law” which gave him the ability to create laws as he wished, with no requirement for consultation. Following this “enabling,” the confiscation of weapons escalated.

In January 1934, the Law for the Reconstruction of the Reich was passed which centralized control over police and led to the replacement of the SA (Sturm Abteilung or Brownshirts) with the SS. Confiscated firearms were then redistributed to the police and concentration camp guards.

In 1938, Hitler signed a new gun control law which benefitted Nazi party members and entities, but denied firearm ownership to enemies of the state. Later that year, Kristallnacht (the Night of the Broken Glass) took place. Nazi storm troopers along with members of the SS and Hitler Youth beat and murdered Jews, broke into and wrecked Jewish homes, and brutalized Jewish women and children. In one fell swoop, the Nazi regime disarmed Germany’s Jews. Without any ability to defend themselves, the Jewish population could then be easily sent to concentration camps for the Final Solution.

With the population afraid and disarmed, Hitler proceeded with little worry about resistance, aided by the Court’s insurance there would be no judicial review needed for activities of the Gestapo.

Halbrook concludes his book noting that less government regulation and the rejection of tyranny could have led to a different outcome in Germany. Instead, the systematic creation and manipulation of firearms registration and regulations, coupled with the decimation of individual citizen’s rights, enabled Hitler’s dictatorship and the slaughter of millions of innocent Jews and citizens of Nazi-occupied countries, as well as tens of thousands of Germans.

It remains for all of us to wonder what might have been had people refused to register their firearms.

“The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing.” – Adolph Hitler

In the well known nursery rhyme, “Sing a Song of Sixpense” the king is served four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie and when the pie was opened the birds began to sing,  “Wasn’t that a dainty dish to set before the king?” The king, full of pie, continued his ways, counting his money and enjoying his power.

Let’s revise that nursery rhyme for 2016 and instead have it read; “four and twenty loaded guns baked in a pie and when the pie is opened the guns began to shoot and sing, “Wasn’t that a humbling dish to set before the king?”

While we watch Obama drown in his own, theatrical, gun grabbing tears, don’t forget to offer others the recipe for that humbling pie. It is good for America’s health.
